District Tours

Would you like to learn more about mosquito and vector control in San Mateo County?  Sign up for a tour of the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District facilities in Burlingame.  Topics covered will include:

  • history of San Mateo County and first mosquito control efforts,
  • mosquito biology and ecology,
  • visit to laboratory,
  • peek inside the mosquito colony area,
  • technology and mosquito surveillance tools, and
  • viewing of various equipment.

The District is located at 1351 Rollins Rd, Burlingame. Parking is available on-site.

To reserve a spot, please fill out the form below. Rachel will reach out to confirm your date/time - tours will be limited to about 12 people per time slot.  If there are not enough sign-ups, a tour may be canceled - you will be contacted via email or phone in advance.
